At 3:00 pm yesterday afternoon, the I stage of the III Edition of the Cycling Tour of Guadalentín began the departure from the Infanta Elena de Águilas auditorium.
With the sea in the background and under an incomparable setting, the 144 participating cyclists from different points of the Spanish geography occupied the goal, starting this exciting sporting event.
The stage, of 125 kilometers, was developed without incidents of relevance and in which they invested a total time of 2 hours and 45 minutes.
Jorge Martín, from the Montenegro Adaro team, won the overall lead.
On the other hand, Josué Gómez Borrachina did it in the sub23 category while Miguel Carrio Sard won the mountain prize and Pau Llaneras Casas prevailed in the goals flying goals.
The awards ceremony was given by the Councilors of Sports and Finance and staff of the City of Águilas, Cristobal Casado, José Manuel Gálvez, the Councilor for Sports of the City of Puerto Lumbreras, Juan Rubén Burrueco, and Sergio Martínez, President of the Murcian Cycling Federation.
The second and final stage of this cycling competition will have Lorca as a starting and arrival point, with a 147kms route.
