The mayor of Ãguilas meets with the General Director of Roads to request a series of necessary improvements for the municipality (20/01/2020)

The mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the mayor of Infrastructure and Public Safety, Tomás Consentino, have recently moved to the General Directorate of Roads where they have held a meeting with the CEO, José Antonio Fernández.

After the meeting, the first mayor positively assessed the predisposition of the regional administration to the proposal made by the City of Águilas to sign an agreement between both administrations;

by virtue of the same, the City Council will receive the crossing of the entrance to Águilas, so that both administrations carry out the necessary settlement actions at that entrance.

Another of the actions proposed by the City Council and that will also be carried out is the installation of a traffic light in the urbanization of Calarreona;

action that will be developed jointly between the City Council, responsible for executing all the necessary civil works, and the General Directorate of Roads that will be responsible for the installation of the traffic light.

During the meeting, Moreno again urged the director general about the need to provide a solution to the roundabout at the Barrafuerte Polygon, of which the project has already been presented, as well as the construction of a roundabout at the intersection of roads RMD14 and RMD15;

project, the latter, which has been several years in the Ministry of Development and for which the City Council has already announced the availability of the land without having to date a positive response from the autonomous body.
