Javier Sánchez Serna: "Agrasa is an example of the need for a new labor framework that does not leave workers defenseless against abuse" (20/12/2019)

The deputy and spokesperson for the Murcia Region Manager Javier Sánchez Serna, participated this afternoon in the massive demonstration held in Águilas in solidarity with the workers of Agrasa.

On strike since last November 26, the entire workforce lives in a dramatic situation, aggravated by the non-payment of payroll since last month.

Sánchez Serna has shown his "full support to the workers and workers of Agrasa. More than 400 families that are seen on the street, with pressures to give up their labor rights and with the company refusing to pay their back pay."

The deputy has also transferred to those affected his commitment to "not leave them alone in the face of bad employers' practices and against labor legislation designed to end up being paid by the workers and workers. It is urgent to repeal the labor reform and lay the foundations of a labor market in which lost rights are recovered and workers are provided with tools to make them effective. "

In addition, Sánchez Serna has praised the "strong will" of Agrasa's staff, while recalling that "the path to defend our dignity has always been struggle, unity and solidarity."

"For us it was mandatory to be here today because it is not an isolated labor conflict, but when a group is organized to defend their rights, they are conquering rights for everyone," he said.
