The Eagles Carnival will have a violet point against sexist aggressions (27/02/2019)

The mayor of Equality, Isabel María Torrente, presented yesterday, along with the councilors of Carnival and Public Safety, Cristóbal Casado and Vicente Ruiz, the aspects of the violet point that this year will be installed in the town for the celebration of the Carnival .

This space, which will be located in the Social Services office, is specially designed to advise and assist any victim of sexist aggressions.

The volunteers who manage it inform and advise of what should be done in case of suffering an aggression.

"It is a place of denunciation, but also of prevention so it is also open to anyone who hears or witnesses a sexist aggression. The main objective is to make clear that the festive spaces can not be an excuse and a party not everything goes because no, it is still not, "said the mayor of Equality.

In the same way, from the City Council, information cards have been published that, under the motto "For some Carnivals without sexist aggressions", collect the main emergency telephones.
