The City Council of Águilas has joined the Auriga project launched by the Tourism Institute of the Region of Murcia.
Auriga is a booking engine in tourist accommodation that, pointed out the mayor of Tourism, Ginés Desiderio Navarro, "allows increasing the sales channels of the tourist product Águilas.We have included in the Tourism website of our municipality a section called Sleep (http: //www.aguilas.es/dormir.php) that redirects us to this reservation engine and that makes it possible for the visitor to make the reservation from the website itself, to spend the night in one of the accommodations in the locality ".
It should be noted that both the role of the City Council and the Institute of Tourism in this process is to offer a space in which to make this reservation, but without intervening, in any case, in the sales process itself that will always depend on the selected accommodation clarified the mayor.
To conclude, Navarro has encouraged to make use of this service not only to the visitors but also to the professionals of the hospitality industry since for them and without any cost it will suppose the increase of its promotion and sale channels.
