Ciudadanos has proposed the drafting of a Plan for the Improvement of Streets, which would cover at least two legislatures and establish technical criteria for its application, "which would guarantee its application regardless of which party is in the local government."
This has been indicated by the orange coordinator, Francisco Martínez, who has already sent his proposal by letter to both PSOE and PP representatives.
"The most numerous complaints we receive are about the state of some streets of our city, and the oblivion to which it submits to some roads and areas outside the urban center, so we consider that this multi-year plan with technical criteria is more than ever necessary and pertinent, "said Martínez, who has also included public lighting among the aspects that the aforementioned plan would include.
"We understand the indignation of many of the neighbors when they observe, year after year, the same decadent environment with the same deteriorated and forgotten sidewalks, an obsolete lighting system and increasing asphalt damages, especially in the neighborhoods far from the center", highlighted by the secretary of the orange formation, Domingo López.
The City Council, through its technicians, would write this plan to improve sidewalks and lighting, and once drafted the parties would commit to apply who wins the election, reserving the necessary budget items for it.
"Any municipality, plus one that claims to be a tourist reference, is obliged to maintain a minimum of cleanliness and decorum in its city.
In the streets far from the urban center there are also shops and neighbors who pay their taxes and need well-built sidewalks, without obstacles, with recesses that can be saved by people with reduced mobility, with decent lighting and other details that the plan should address ", Lopez finished.
