The mayor reminds Consumer rights buyers during the sales period (11/01/2016)

Taking advantage of the sales season, the mayor of the City of Eagle Consumption, Isabel Maria Torrente, wanted to remind buyers that during stoppage time it is important to remember that the consumer has the same rights and guarantees for the remainder of year.

In this sense Torrente said that the sales period is a reduction in prices but not in the quality of the products offered.

Asimismo- continued diciendo- the establishment is required to show both the discount as the initial on the product label.

Another aspect to consider is the need to keep the receipt or invoice as collateral for a refund or complaint and the fact that the items must be in season and have no defects or have been expressly made for this period.

With respect to the payment, establishments open to credit card payments for the rest of the year, are required to do so in sales time without any surcharge on the price.

The area councilor has completed noting that "the Municipal Office of Consumer Information (OMIC) provides free shuttle services to protect consumers so that anyone who believes that their rights have been violated can go to this either by classroom (on the ground floor of the building The Placetón) or phone 968 413 661.
