In the plenary session held yesterday the Socialist Party approved a decrease of IBI and consolidated participatory democracy in Aguilas by approving the Regulation of Citizen Participation of the City of Eagle, another example of the PSOE meet its election commitments

One of the outstanding issues, in economic terms, of the plenary session held yesterday in the City of Eagle was approved with the votes against the PP, a decrease of 4% in the Property Tax (IBI) for those castastral properties with a value greater than 60,000 euros, to which must be added plus a reduction in the tax rate applied to all the houses, which will increase from the current 0.597 to 0.565.

Also, following the outstanding issues in plenary, another important agreements, reflecting the commitment of the PSOE by a transparent policy and that the voice of citizens is taken into account was the approval of the Rules of Participation.

A regulation is a consolidation of participatory democracy in the locality.

This Regulation, as stated the Socialist councilor for Citizen Participation, Luis Lopez, "states the commitment of the PSOE to citizens to promote a democratic and transparent participation with regard to local governance. In regulation was necessary and that makes a lasformas clear difference of politics to which we had used the previous PP government team ".

This system aims to extend participation to all aspects of local governance and the rights contained therein lies the right of participation, information, to request at the hearing, citizen initiative, complaints and claims to the referendum, a policy that fosters the association, access to information technology and the right of assembly.

Aspects, all which are a reflection of the kind of politics of the Socialist Party in Aguilas;

a policy based on the real participation of citizens, transparency in public affairs and in people.

A policy in sharp contrast to that experienced in recent years at the local level for the PP and the still suffer at the national level actions, such as the recently approved Law Gag PP, far from facilitating public participation , as stated in Article 9.2 of the Spanish Constitution, pursues and criminalizes citizens demand transparency and clarity in public administration.
