On Saturday 24 October in the Garden of the Malecon (Murcia), the Communist Party of the Region of Murcia and the Communist Youth Union celebrated the eleventh edition of his party in a political climate marked by the debate on setting a bid unit left ahead of the upcoming elections in December.
In the main event of the event, the secretary general of the PCRM, Joaquín Morote, the Communist mayor of Moratalla, Candi Marin, member of the bid Guanyar Alcant unit, Victor Dominguez, and the secretary of the PCE, Fernando Sanchez, discussed about the need to build a project that combines all the breakthrough and progressive forces of the Spanish state, following the example of the candidacies of popular unity that were so successful in municipal elections.
With different expressions, but with the same feeling, the four participants verbalized the idea, purpose and determination to advance the construction of the alternative.
One alternative that should match institutional work with contact with the street fights and claims.
"One foot in the institutions and a thousand feet on the street" summarized Joachim Morote.
