The Governing Council acting has given its approval, a proposal of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water, the draft stabilization works, sealing and landscape restoration of the landfill urbanosde Eagles, who run the regional government through the TRAGSA.
The budget is 1,846,837 euros, financed by 80 percent of European cohesion funds, and the remaining 20 percent equity.
Among the actions planned movement of inert waste is to soften the slopes and the formation of dikes.
The project also includes the construction of exterior and interior gutters to evacuate water as well as sealing, planting native vegetation and fencing, among others.
This will contribute to the environmental improvement of the environment where the landfill is located.
With this action, the Community proceeds in compliance with European environmental regulations, as well as the objectives laid down in the 2020 rules.
In this sense, they have recently taken action as sealing and landscape restoration of the landfill públicode Jumilla and are also being adapted plants recycling of urban municipal waste in Cartagena, Mazarron, Lorca and Ulea, representing an investment of over 20 million euros in the adaptation of compliance with EU directives.
