Rescue shipwrecked in the Bay of El Hornillo in Aguilas (08/06/2015)

Throughout the morning of Monday, June 8, Spanish Red Cross and the State Sea Rescue Society have conducted in the Bay of El Hornillo in Aguilas various joint exercises of rescue shipwrecked, a simulated situation which aims to minimize response times and increase mutual understanding between various agencies.

Salvage is the entity responsible for the rescue of lives in the aquatic environment, the fight against pollution and control of maritime traffic in the Spanish coast.

A work in collaborating different health and safety bodies, such as the Spanish Red Cross.

So that, in a real situation, all participants share knowledge with maximum efficiency and joint action protocols, SASEMAR conducts regularly training exercises as developed today in Eagles.

All this to provide, if necessary, a quick and effective response, according to the demands and needs of citizens at risk and preserve the marine environment pollution free.

For nearly three hours, the crew of the Mimosa Salvamar based in Cartagena and 203 rescuers Helimer based in Almeria and LS Titania-based Eagles have held different practices shooting and hauling of rescuers and alleged victims, with a total success.
