Fernando Villegas and Pilar Duarte podium IV Half Marathon Night "Memorial Juan Palazón" Eagles (13/04/2015)

This past weekend saw the IV Half Marathon Night "Memorial Juan Palazón" which included the third edition of the race of 10 kilometers.

The start and finish area was located in the Plaza Auditorium and Congress Centre "Infanta Elena" and went for urban perimeter walking those three bays Eagles (The Stove, Poniente and Levante).

Also this year the race was Regional Championship Half Marathon and the two competitions have been included in the "Running Challenge", regional league organized by the Athletics Federation of Murcia, consisting of 25 events spread throughout the Autonomous Community of Murcia during 2015.

Over seven hundred riders from different points of the Spanish geography, participants competed in categories: Junior-Promise (1993-1997), Senior (1981-1992), Veteran A (1976-1980), Veteran B (1971-1975) , Veteran C (1966-1970), Veteran D (1961-1965), Veteran E (1956-1960), Veteran F (1951-1955) and Veteran G and (1946-1950 and earlier).

The mayor of Eagle, Bartolome Hernandez, together with the Councillor for Sports, Diego Martínez, and local broker and member of the Eagles Athletics Club, Nemesio Pacheco, were responsible for presenting the trophies.

The men's podium in the IV Half Marathon was made up: Fernando Villegas, David Sanchez and Raul Guevara.

Female: Pilar Duarte, Ana Mercedes Merino and Veguillas.

Also, the "Trofeo Juan Palazón", created in memory of the deceased broker and member of the Eagles Athletics Club for many years, the first to enter meta aquiline, Antonio Haro was delivered.

This year, as new, the oldest rider also won an award in this case with the name of another aquiline "Trophy José Ruiz Lajarín", which went to Enrique Balsalobre.

The first male test classified 10 kilometers were: Alberto González, Javier Domen and Jose Palma.

In the women: synové Brox, Maria Teresa Iñiguez and Herminia Abellán.

Also won trophies the first local runners crossed the finish line, Salvador Escarabajal and Herminia Abelllán.

Each athlete who entered meta received a "stock broker", which contained a commemorative t test and various products of the land, donated by different horticultural enterprises Eagles.
