Education at Mary Immaculate College delivers distinctive Bilingual Education Center (17/11/2014)

The Minister of Education, Culture and Universities, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, chaired this morning delivering distinctive to the 80 schools that have joined this course to teaching in Spanish and English plates, which are already 38 towns in the Region where families can opt for an education in Spanish and English for their children, thanks to the initiative '+ Languages' of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities.

According to the Minister of Education, "the goal for next year is that all municipalities parents have with schools with this type of advanced education and go on the lens implantation in all the centers by 2020".

More than 28,500 elementary students in the region made this course studies in Spanish and English.

Specifically, 11,000 do first, 4,000 of them in one of the 80 schools that join the bilingual program during 2014-2015 and today received their distinction.

Pedro Antonio Sánchez said that "we must thank the teaching staff involvement and effort to adapt teaching to the learning needs of students and the demands of their educational communities, as in the case of bilingual education" .

At present, there are now 223 schools offering bilingual teaching mode in Spanish and English, almost half of those in the region.

Two of them are in Eagles, CEIP Las Lomas, which since 2011 has implemented, and Mary Immaculate College, which this year joined the program.

Indeed, representatives of the latter school received this morning in Murcia its distinctive, accompanied by the Councillor for Education of the Consistory aquiline, Francisco Clemente.
