Last weekend, the councilors of Culture and Agriculture Hall of Eagles, Francisco Miguel Martínez and Francisco Navarro, respectively, accompanied by other local authorities and guests, opened the traveling exhibition 'The Murcia deputies in the Cortes of Cadiz.
The Region of Murcia, and the 1812 Constitution ', which can be seen until November 28 at the House of Culture Francisco Rabal.
It is organized by the Joint Commission Regional Assembly of Murcia-Real Academia Alfonso X El Sabio, under the supervision of Nicolas Pascual Vera, this magnificent exhibition curator and author of the book of the same name.
The aim of this exhibition is to highlight how was the time when this Constitution was conceived, both in Spain and in the Region of Murcia, and know the figure and work of our first Cádiz deputies signed the First Spanish Constitution.
The exhibition is touring the different municipalities in Murcia since 2012, the year in which the two hundredth anniversary of that historic moment when the Cortes of Spain, first elected by the common people approved the Constitution of 1812, popularly known as fulfilled 'La Pepa'.
That text meant, among other things, that the Spaniards cease to be subjects to become citizens and consecrate a rule their desire for freedom.
During the opening ceremony, Councillor for Culture of the Consistory aquiline would encourage people to visit the exhibition, remembering that your opening hours are Monday to Friday, 18 to 21 hours.
