Eagle City Council approves a new battery in plenary actions to further improve the city (02/06/2014)

Eagle City Council has approved in the final plenary session, a new set of actions aimed at further improving the image of different streets and neighborhoods of the city.

This proposal made by the government team and approved unanimously by the political groups represented municipal, involves an investment of 1,467,502 euros '65 to be financed with the budget surplus under the remaining liquid cash.

Thanks to the savings achieved in the management of public money and following the guidelines set by the Organic Law of Budgetary Stability and Financial Sustainability that allows invest these revenues in certain actions, the Consistory aquiline may develop the following initiatives:

Remodeling sidewalks, asphalt and other performances on Calle Jacinto Benavente and adjacent ('65 240 718 euros).

Against shifts in the Castillo San Juan de las Aguilas (233,000 euros) protection.

Building a bike lane green belt (242,000 euros).

Construction of a retaining wall on the Rambla of Snakes (242,000 euros).

Refurbishment works at the Market Square (40,000 euros).

Performance Energy Efficiency in Street Gutiérrez Mellado (14,784 euros).

Square Rehabilitation Gutiérrez Mellado (54,000 euros).

Square Remodeling Victims of Terrorism (40,000 euros).

Improvement actions in Iberia Street, and adjacent Españoleto (140,000 euros).

Work improving Francisco Simó Orts Street and other (196,000 euros).

According to the Councillor of Goods and Works and municipal government spokesman, Diego Martínez Parra, these new projects to other work being carried out during the year, among which are binding: the Mirador del Castillo, the fairgrounds with surface parking area, remodeling Sagrera Mill and its surroundings, the new promenade of Puerto Pesquero, Square Cabeza de Robles Street, etc..

It is a plan of action to improve the image of the different neighborhoods of the city, and therefore of the whole city, while put in value a number of routes that will serve to promote tourism in Águilas.

Finally, Martinez Parra regretted that during the last plenary session, some parties propose other projects that do not conform to the law or to justify their vote the talking performances not included in the proposals made by the municipal government, so strongly spokesman that "mirasen records before going to the full, as is their duty" asked.

Some statements do not sit well with these representatives of the opposition groups, making the tone of the debate was increased.

Finally, the battery project was approved by all present.
