Municipal watershed planning, including Eagles field in the new Basin Plan Safe and cleaning gullies, were the main topics discussed at this meeting.
The mayor of Eagle, Bartolomé Hernández Giménez, held a working meeting in Murcia with the president of the Hydrographic Confederation of Segura (CHS), Miguel Angel Ródenas, and Water Commissioner, José Carlos González, to address different issues the municipality.
During the meeting, also attended by the Councillor for Agriculture, Francisco Navarro, and the Municipal Technical Environment Enrique Delgado, head of the local executive explained the need to study and plan various solutions to preventing the wide avenues and boulevards that floods occur with heavy rainfall, especially during the month of September due to the cold drop.
According to Bartolome Hernandez said, these actions would focus primarily on creating different containment areas: dikes, dams, including storm drains, correcting some channels and channeling of the main boulevards.
On the other hand, Hernandez called for the inclusion of golf in the new Eagles Segura Basin Plan, which would clear the reality of irrigation in the area, recognizing for the first time the water needs of farmers aquiline, lowering the cost of water and making their products more competitive.
Finally, during the meeting dealt with the streamlining of procedures at the time of the conservation and maintenance of the different channels of the streams of the municipality, seeking and providing better service for citizens of Eagle.
