Eagles yesterday celebrated the commemoration of the International Day of the Book (24/04/2013)

Titled "A sea of ​​letters II", the Consistory aquiline scheduled many activities took place in the Auditorium "Infanta Elena".

Yesterday Eagles were held in the commemoration of the International Day of the Book, organized by the departments of Education, Women and Culture of the Consistory aquiline and collaboration of different groups and local writers.

The program of activities, bonded in a common agenda under the title "A Sea of ​​letters II" was held in the Auditorium and Congress Palace "Infanta Elena".

Meanwhile, throughout the day, books were deposited by different parts of the town, so that whoever found them could read them and then deposit them in their place of origin.

The central events began early in the afternoon, with the opening of a "creative space" in Hall Auditorium, which was equipped with a different material for drawing, writing, reading and music, along with exhibitions of rare books.

In the same place, the mayor of Eagle, Bartolomé Hernández Giménez, and several councilors of the municipal corporation, with members of various associations, students and other local groups took part in the continued reading of Don Quixote.

On the other hand, the Chamber hosted the Auditorium Alternative awards of IV School Short Story Contest, organized in collaboration with "Águilasnoticias.com" where winners were:

Primary Education:

Second prize: Marta Moreno Lopez, the school's Rubial for "The formation of the Castle of Eagles".

First Prize: Zhou Jinhui Wu, college The Rubial, for "faithful friend."

Secondary Education:

Second prize: Angel Sicilia Locubiche, Mary Immaculate college for "Watching the Sea".

First Prize: José Miguel Sánchez Ring, Mary Immaculate college for "The Mystery of the Castle of San Juan de las Aguilas"

Similarly, there was a brief journey through the life and work of the authors aquiline: Rosario Sánchez López, Vicente Pascual Jimenez Sicily Tárraga and Carrasco.

Subsequently, the official historian of the town, Luis Diaz, gave a lecture on "the origin of printing in Eagles".

Finally, coordinated by the municipal archivist, Josefa Navarro, held a tribute to Juan Lloret Gregori, which included an audiovisual and theatrical reading of one of his works, concluding with the presentation of a commemorative detail relatives Juan Lloret received at the hands of the mayor, Bartolome Hernandez.
