The Auditorium and Congress Palace "Princess Elena" Eagles last night hosts the exhibition of paintings of Salvador D'urso Italian, more than thirty paintings in which the artist, now deceased, shows the freedom and spontaneity of a language pictorial, dump in the abstract world, forged in the context of his research on geometric schematization used in the decoration of the Andean cultures of South America.
The councilman of Culture and Heritage of the consistory aquiline, Francisco Miguel Martinez, accompanied by other authorities, yesterday inaugurated the exhibition and encouraged all citizens to visit, from Monday to Sunday, from 18'00 to 20'30 pm in Room Temporary Exhibition Hall, where it will remain until next April 28, along with other similarly themed works several artists performed in honor of Salvador D'Urso.
The restless and adventurous spirit of this painter, took him to travel around the United States, Germany, Holland, Spain or Argentina, the last place where he had the opportunity to live for a short period of time, with a small Aboriginal community.
D'Urso spent hours observing the natives decorate their pottery, basketry or tissues, being impressed by the beauty and simplicity achieved in their representations.
Consequently, his paintings show a scan, first in the field of symbolism and later in the abstractionism.
In the eighties, the artist shows the trend away from pictorial object, to make way for the explosion of intuition, emotion and fantasy.
In the structure of his compositions, freely distributed areas or fields of pure color in strong light-dark contrasts cold and warm.
The interior of these blocks is dotted color lines, dots or blotches of different shades, which sometimes generate flat shapes or silhouettes, which the viewer can suggest memories of specific models.
