The charge of Education of the Socialist Group, M ª Carmen Moreno has filed a motion in the Assembly which calls on the Ministry of Education to conclude the payment of financial assistance for the purchase of textbooks and teaching materials and computer complementary.

Moreno recalled that on September 14, 2012, the Ministry of Educacio'n, Training and Employment published the order which approved the regulations governing financial aid and summoned for the purchase of textbooks and teaching materials and computer complementary.

These grants are aimed at students in compulsory education levels, at schools supported by public funds during the course 2012-13.

The deputy claims that the Department took five months from the publication of this order to resolve the scholarships and begin to pay them, but has not finished it.

"It's been over a month since the resolution of such aid scholarships textbooks and did not complete payment of all grants made, despite having economic item budgeted for it, specifically 4,811,145 euros, of which EUR 1,611,145 from the Ministry of Education and EUR 3.2 million of the budget of the region ".

Therefore, M ª Carmen Moreno urged the Council to not to delay payment of the aid and the amount paid to the families in the shortest time possible.
