The Bicentennial exhibition runs Eagles Hall of schools (09/04/2013)

The councilors of Education and Culture, Francisco Clemente and Francisco Miguel Martinez, accompanied by municipal archivist, Pepi Navarro, today visited the Bicentennial exhibition of Eagles Hall, during the months of April and May will tour various colleges locality.

Through a series of large-format panels, which include photographs, scanned documents and small texts, the students can learn about the city's history, from the first settlers in Neolithic times, through Roman, Muslim and Christian, to our days.

It may be recalled that last December we held a series of events to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the first Constitution of Eagles Hall, established on December 8, 1812.

The program included an extraordinary plenary session, attended by several members who were part of ancient municipal corporations, followed by the unveiling of a plaque commemorating the inauguration of an exhibition that showed some of the documents kept in the Municipal Archives and panels produced in this traveling exhibition and the publication of a book written especially for the occasion by the official chronicler of the town, Luis Diaz Martinez.
