The Civil Guard dismantled a network smuggling cocaine into Spain from Bolivia (27/03/2013)

They have seized 10 kilos of high purity cocaine, 18 kilos of marijuana, cutting substance, cash and seven vehicles

Bolivia has also intervened three properties, including a luxury villa and a massage center and Spa, belonging to the leader of the organization

The Guardia Civil in connection with the operation "capsule" has broken up an international organization dedicated to the introduction of cocaine in Spain using mules that transported inside your body.

The operation has resulted in the arrest of 23 members of the network, among which is their leader, based in Bolivia, a country where the drug was shipped.

11 records have been practiced, eight in Spain and three in Bolivia, which have allowed dismantled two clandestine laboratories handling cocaine and seized ten kilos of the drug with a high degree of purity, 18 kilos of marijuana, 15,000 euros in cash Two Blank firing guns, eight computers, mobile phones fifty six cars and a motorcycle.

Death in Spanish in Bolivia trying to make Mule

The investigation began in February 2012 when someone reported the death of a neighbor of Aguilas (Murcia), who was allegedly hired by others to undertake travel to Bolivia with the intention of introducing in Spain cocaine inside his body.

This person died in Bolivia because two of the containers were broken carrying cocaine.

Following initial inquiries indications were obtained that allowed prosecute the investigation, which bore fruit a few months later when police arrested four people in Madrid who moved to Murcia over half a kilo of high purity cocaine.

Next, Barajas, was intercepted and arrested two people doing the mission of mules, as they imported from Bolivia a kilo of cocaine inside each of your body.

The initial arrests allowed researchers to determine the structure of which was aimed to be an international criminal organization dedicated to trafficking in cocaine with a high fluidity between Spain and Bolivia.

Two clandestine laboratories for handling cocaine

When the civil guards arranged for all necessary evidence developed exploitation phase of the operation to dismantle the branch of the organization based in Spain.

In this phase were conducted in eight innings and property records of Murcia, Aguilas and localities and Elda Elda Alicante, was arrested 16 others of Spanish nationality, Moroccan, Colombian, Bolivian and Slovak, and dismantled two clandestine laboratories that the network was installed in houses of Aguilas (Murcia) and Elda (Alicante) to receive, manipulate and adulterate large amounts of high purity cocaine.

Once dismantled the Spanish branch of the organization, the magistrate No. 7 of Lorca, who led the operation, EDOA commissioned officers of the Guardia Civil de Murcia to Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Bolivia), which were coordinated with Special Force against Drug Trafficking (FELCN) of Bolivia to expose the main structure of the international network.

This is the first time that this body acts in that country Bolivia together with a police force.

The research allowed the agents to identify, locate and arrest the three members of the head of the criminal pyramid.

The leader of this criminal group was living several years in Spain, where he initiated and formed the network structure in order to manage the country from Bolivia.

In Bolivia the officers searched two homes and a public which involved large amounts of cocaine ready to be sent to Spain.

Also seized computers, mobile phones and documents related to detainees with criminal activity undertaken by the organization.

Furthermore, in Palmasola prison, located in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, we proceeded to the examination of a domestic Spanish origin who was captured by the organization investigated and subsequently arrested when he tried to leave the country for Spain as mule and carrying inside her body one kilo of cocaine.

At 23 detained in Spanish and Bolivian phases of the operation, aged 18 and 53, are charged with crimes of belonging to a criminal organization and drug trafficking.

Furthermore, the network director also is accused of homicide offenses and forgery.
