The Eagles Archaeological Museum visitor numbers increased during the past year (11/01/2013)

A total of 7268 people, a thousand more than in 2011, came to know the story that meets the municipal building.

The Castillo de San Juan, with 14,200 visitors, remains the favorite spot for tourists.

The Department of Culture and Heritage of the City of Eagles has today released statistics on the number of visits that have had major cultural sites of the city in 2012.

As reported by the mayor of this area in the consistory aquiline, Francisco Miguel Martinez, Castillo de San Juan continues to be a favorite spot for tourists with over 14,000 visitors, a figure similar to that of 2011.

Of these, 5364 are in the region of Murcia and 5911 from other parts of Spain.

By region, including: Madrid (1651), Andalusia (1423), Valencia (810), Catalonia (807), Castilla La Mancha (365), Castilla Leon (284), Asturias (98) and Galicia (75).

Foreign tourists who have visited the fortress have increased by more than a hundred, compared to the previous annuity, with a total of 2,956 people.

They are led by the British (934), followed by the French (731) and Germans (357).

Other international visitors, with a considerable increase representation, were Belgium (85), Denmark (40) and Portugal (40).

All visitors have highlighted the attractions of the enclave and the Castle, a historic monument of the 2nd half of the eighteenth century, perfectly suited to its current use as an interpretation center of local history.

Similarly, it is noteworthy that the tourists have rated their stay in the stunning panorama monument obtained from the summit.

The Castillo de San Juan has hosted this year for the first time, various evening activities that have not been accounted for in these statistics, but it is worth noting, as the "Concert of the sails" of astronomy sessions "Looking at the sky" or guided tours within the program "The young night."

In addition, visits to Archaeological Museum have increased by more than 1,000 people over the previous year.

Undoubtedly, this fact has to do with the various activities that have been performed on it, such as exhibitions on esparto and ceramic restoration, educational visits and tours for schools or dramatized routes.

Thus, in the last two years has grown from 4,501 visits in 2010, through the 6255, 2011, 7268 to 2012.

These are divided into: local (1981) Regional (2323), national (2589) and International (375).

Unlike Castillo, international tourists Archaeological Museum are led by the French, British and Germans followed.

For domestic visitors, the largest number corresponds to the Andalusians (615 people), followed by Catalonia (570), Madrid (443) and Valencia (376).

Finally, Francisco Miguel Martinez also wanted to note that there have been numerous visits by appointment at Carnival Museum, Roman Baths and the Mill of Jumper, always coordinated from the Archaeological Museum, with a large audience.
