The test, organized by the Cultural Association of Sport Fishing "Urci City", took place last weekend in the area between the tower and Siscar Cope.

This past weekend was held the nineteenth Pescathón "Beaches of Eagles", an event organized by the Cultural Association of Sport Fishing "Urci City", which developed in the area between the tower and Siscar Cope, from the 21.00 hours of Saturday at 7'00 pm on Sunday.

This year 26 couples participated, divided into five associations: "Villa of Eagles", "City of Lorca," "St. Francis of Assisi", Crevillente, "James the Greater", Murcia, and the organizer "City Urci "Eagles.

The champions of this Pescathón were the pairing of Juan Antonio Francisco Sáez and David Terrones, association "Lorca City", with a total of 84 pieces, weighing almost 6 kilos and a half, which helped them to win the award the "more parts".

The award for "major piece" was for Juan Antonio Zamora and Antonio Castillo, of the association "James the Greater", which were made with a bream of 683 grams.

Morillas and Juan José Luis Sánchez, of the host society, were runners up in the competition of sport fishing in which Ginés Sánchez and Juan Sanchez, also the "City Urci", rose to third place.

The awards ceremony, held Sunday at the Cabana bar, was chaired by the mayor of Eagles, Bartolomé Hernández, by the deputy mayor and head of Urbanism, Isabel María Soler.

During the event, presented by Paco Escámez, there was also a recognition of the youngest member, Fran Miras, 11, a member of the "City of Urci".

Likewise, Ramon Aguado, owner of domicile which hosted the event, was honored for his special contribution.

A bouquet of flowers to women who are linked in one way or another to this festival of sport fishing, put the colophon mentions.

Also, the president of the Cultural Association of Sport Fishing "City Urci" Cristóbal López Díaz, had a word of thanks to the approximately 100 business houses who have contributed to the event, as well as for individuals and companies each year respond with aid to the celebration of Pescathón "Beaches of Eagles."

She closed the awards ceremony the mayor of Eagles, Bartolomé Hernández, congratulating the winners and encouraging other participants to continue practicing this noble art of sport fishing throughout the year, while I wish the best to everyone, in sporting and personally.
