The City of Eagles, through the Department of Aging and in cooperation with the directive of the Municipal Center "Sicilian Antonio Segura," yesterday organized a guided tour of the districts of: Marina de Cope, Cuesta de Gos and Garrobillo.
Accompanied by the mayor Ana Maria Miñarro, President of the Municipal Center on Aging, Juana Gonzalez, and the official chronicler of the Villa, Luis Diaz, about one hundred members traveled with the center for nearly three hours, locations highlights of these places.
The Tower of Cope, the residence of the Marquis of Garrobillo, the Hermitage, the statue of Paco Rabal, the House of Traditions or the old Film Cope, were some of the places chosen for this tour.
As part of the visit to the hamlets columbines, members who joined this activity could contemplate the work of the artisans of esparto, whose works are on display in the House of Traditions with several suits of "Mussona" or pay tribute to the famous actor of the Cuesta de Gos, Paco Rabal.
By the explanations and anecdotes transmitted by Luis Diaz, participants learned that the neighbors of the "Barranco de los Asensios" crossed the mountains to go to Film Cope, paying that cost 10 reals entry.
