The seaside town of Eagles will host the course of the International University of the Sea, from 19 to 23 July, analyze the status of "criminal justice in Spain" with the presence of distinguished practitioners and members of the judiciary.
Directed by professors at the University of Murcia and Julio Fernando Jiménez Conde Sigüenza, will begin on Monday at 17:00 pm with a conference run by Fernando de Rosa, vice president of the Supreme Judicial Council, who will speak on " judicial independence. "
During the five-day course, pass through the prestige of lawyers Eagles Emilio Calatayud, juvenile judge of Granada, José Luis González Montes, former Secretary of State of Justice, Marcos García Montes, a criminal lawyer, and Andrés de la Oliva, Professor of Procedural Law at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, among others.
The speakers will address issues such as the functioning of the Tribunal of the Jury, the problems posed by the current legislation under the Penal Code, the access of media to the trials or the private prosecutor in criminal proceedings.
The course will take place in the conference room of the Hotel Puerto Juan Montiel.
