Next Wednesday, the service of psychological attention to minors exposed to gender violence will begin to work in Águilas;

a resource co-financed by the General Directorate of Women and the Águilas City Council, in charge of putting the material resources for its development.

This service - presented this morning by the mayor of Equality, Isabel María Torrente - provides psychological support to the children of women victims of gender violence who have been exposed or have suffered directly these situations of violence, thus guaranteeing their right to a free life of violence.

For its development are contemplated the usual basic steps that are carried out in any process of psychological intervention with minors, attending to the particularities that gender violence confers in each case, psychological evaluation and individual and group psychological intervention.

During the press conference, Torrente stressed that the program, which will be developed by the Asociación Quiero Crecer, will initially have an itinerant character and will be provided in the CAVI of the town on a Wednesday every three weeks from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 15 a 18 although the mayor said- "if the demand increases, the service will also be increased".

The referral to benefit from it will be developed directly from the CAVI or from the courts of gender violence.

Likewise, those people who, without being users of the CAVI, are victims of gender violence and request the resource for their children between 0 and 18 years of age will be able to do so at 968446633, 968412874 and 901101332.
