The City of Ãguilas achieves in just two years to go from a suspense in transparency to fulfill more than 90% of the indicators Infoparticipa and Dyntra (16/01/2018)

Open government continues to be one of the priority objectives of the Government Team of Águilas City Council, aware of the importance of going beyond simply complying with legal requirements in terms of transparency and determined to bet on the active participation of citizens in municipal matter.

Precisely from this premise the ediles of New Technologies and Citizen Participation, Tomás Consentino and Luis López, respectively, have held this morning a meeting with the media in which they have released the results of the evaluations that in this field have made two of the main evaluators in Spain, specifically Infoparticipa and Dyntra.

Thus - the ediles have highlighted - in the results of the evaluation of Infoparticipa, developed by the Autonomous University of Barcelona in collaboration with the University of Murcia, the City Council has obtained the necessary score to obtain the InfoParticipa 2017 stamp, considered the highest award in this matter.

On this matter, the mayor Luis Lopez has assessed "very positively the work done in terms of transparency by the Government Team, managing to go from a suspense in 2015 (with a valuation of 21.9% in Infoparticipa) to the current 90.38 % that places us in the top positions of the Region and the fulfillment of 47 of the 52 total indicators compared to only 9 that were met in 2015. "

Another indicator of transparency in which the City of Águilas closed 2017 with a note is the DAM dynamic index (Dyntra City Councils and Municipalities).

An evaluator that places the Town Hall as the fourth most transparent in Spain, fulfilling 137 of the 152 indicators with a 90.13% compliance.

Data "that, in short, demonstrate that this Government Team not only talks about transparency but that it believes in it and that they also serve us as a commitment to continue working for an institution with glass walls", concluded councilor Tomás Consentino.
