The green areas of the municipality of Águilas have a complex irrigation system under each of them to be taken care of in a correct way.

Now, the Águilas City Council and the STV Gestión concessionaire have decided to continue reducing the consumption of unnecessary water in the parks and gardens of the municipality;

for this they are setting in motion a mechanism with which all the collectors and irrigation valves are being replaced by more modern, safe and above all designed to reduce possible water losses.

Up to now, when a collector or a cut-off valve broke, there was an economic cost associated therewith as well as a time during which the water could be lost.

Now, a new system is changing this situation.

It is about new electrowelded collectors and new brass valves that will greatly reduce the time and money that was invested in the change due to a break.

For example, these new pieces that are already being installed in the different green areas of Águilas, have no corrosion by water, weigh less and are much more durable.

This entails advantages such as that you do not need to acquire tools, you do not have to spend time in the design, preparation or assembly and above all that you manage to minimize the possible time that the water is destined for an inadequate purpose.

This new system is possible thanks to the investment made in technology and qualified personnel, with a specialist technician in irrigation plumbing, and thus allows to offer a more viable and profitable alternative to the traditional steel and iron used until now.

One more proof of the commitment of the aquiline consistory to continue taking care of the different green areas of the municipality and at the same time the use of such an essential good, especially in this Region, such as water and its correct use.
