The mayor Isabel Fernández is still betting on making Ãguilas a green lung surrounded by nature (29/11/2017)

Continuing with the plan of recovery and enhancement of streets, parks and squares of the town, has begun the planting of five copies of false pepper (Schinus molle) in the residential Los Jardines and in Calabardina.

The objective is to continue fostering a healthy and responsible culture with the environment and the quality of its neighbors.

In an environment of beauty and value of the municipality of Águilas, the City wants to continue betting on improving and increasing the different green areas today.

To do this, from the Department of Service Providers, have collected local requests and has begun to plant different copies of false pepper (Schinus molle) in two green areas: the residential Los Jardines and Calabardina.

The choice of these spaces as well as the type of copies that have been placed is not arbitrary.

They have been located in parks and areas close to playgrounds and recreational areas where they will soon begin to provide shade.

The specimens are evergreen trees with a lot of leaves and a very hard wood, which minimizes the possibility of falling branches or leaves.

Also, they do not suppose a significant increase of the water consumption of water since they are exemplary that do not need much water nor a very high maintenance.

"The goal is and will always be for this City Council," says Fernandez, "to think about the neighbors and how to solve their different needs, which is why this Town Hall is going to keep betting on turning Águilas into a green lung where there is numerous green areas with shadows where you can spend the afternoon and enjoy the views of this privileged municipality of Murcia ".
