From Monday until Thursday, two of the technicians of the Department of Tourism are participating in the Training Days for New Agents SICTED (Integral System of Tourist Quality Destination) are being held in Murcia, organized by the Secretary of State of Tourism.

Under the "Keys to model management" approach, the course consists of 4 training days that are divided into two blocks: on the one hand, the SICTED Manager Modules, SICTED adviser, SICTED trainer and SICTED evaluator;

and, on the other, the Platform Module, as a practical immersion of all the assistants in the management and functionalities of the management tool of the model www.calidadendestino.org, to carry out a simulation of all the processes.

The formation of these two techniques will allow the elimination of external agents for the local processes related to the SICTED and reinforces the commitment of this Government Team with the Tourist Quality of our municipality.

The SICTED is a project to improve the quality of tourist destinations promoted by the Ministry of Tourism (SET), with the support of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), which works with tourism companies / services up to 33 different jobs, with the ultimate goal of improving the experience and satisfaction of the tourist.

The SCTE Destinos-SICTED is a methodology that provides an integral and permanent system of quality management in a tourist destination with a new conception of the expected results, a focus towards continuous improvement and an attitude of recovery and valorization of the resources and space.

It is based on the integral awareness of destiny and on the identification of common objectives of the agents involved.

The SCTE Destinos-SICTED pursues a level of homogeneous quality in the services offered to the tourist within the same destination, so that there are no substantial quality deficiencies between the different products (agents) that make up the offer at the destination and, with negative conditioning of the perception and satisfaction of tourists.

Among other tools, it has 33 good practice manuals, one for each office.

It offers the companies / tourist services a training plan, technical assistance visits by approved consultants, collective workshops, working groups that develop proposals for improvement for the destination and evaluations that contrast the suitability of the company / service to the quality standards.

All this culminates in obtaining the Commitment of Quality Tourism.

This is granted to companies / tourist services that have accredited compliance with the requirements set.

It is a recognition of the effort and commitment to quality and continuous improvement, while distinguishing the establishment from the competition.

The mark has biennial validity, although it is conditioned to an annual monitoring evaluation.
