The mayor of Local Development, Ginés Desiderio Navarro, reported that the unemployment in the town has registered an annual decline of 367 people from 2,580 unemployed in June 2016 to 2,213 of the same month of this year, according to the latest published data By the Employment and Training Service of the Region of Murcia SEF.
The mayor stressed that the data are clear and reflect a downward trend.
Navarro recalled that, although it is true that municipalities do not have competencies in job creation, what they can do is work to encourage it;
In this sense "these data show that the indirect policies developed from the City Council are being effective."
To conclude the councilman, as has been said on previous occasions, said that "despite these data reflect a notable improvement, from the City Council will continue working on policies that result in improvements for citizens as this is the purpose of this term of people".
