Citizens urges the City Council to start as soon as possible the cycle and pedestrian path that the training requested a year ago (13/06/2017)

In May a cyclist suffered an accident when being overwhelmed by a tourism.

We can and must accelerate this infrastructure. "

Citizens' electoral program already included the construction of a path that would link Eagles with Calabardina.

Track that could be used by pedestrians and cyclists to avoid the almost inexistent shoulders and curves of poor visibility of the RM-D14 road.

In compliance with this program, the orange formation requested, in early 2016, that the procedures for the construction of the runway to be joined by Eagles with Calabardina should be initiated, with a special emphasis on urgently undertaking a first stage between Eagles and Collados, for being this, an especially dangerous zone with much affluence of neighbors as well as cyclists.

A request that, weeks later, had its reflection in the announcement of the approval, both of the repair of the present, and of its extension to Calabardina.

However, after almost a year, we are still in the same initial situation: "They have been conditioned about 3 kilometers of the route that runs along the road, when the priority was to undertake the same 3 kilometers of the stretch to Collados."

- said Francisco Martinez, coordinator of the training - who added: "In May a cyclist suffered an accident to be overwhelmed by tourism. We can and must accelerate this infrastructure."

Alluding to the fact that, in the last year, the stretch to the Collados should at least have been approached.

"We hope we do not have to wait until 2019 to see its inauguration," Martinez concluded.

On the other hand, Antonio Barba, responsible for municipal politics stated: "This path, which is part of our 2015 electoral program, is a much needed infrastructure. The Government Team knows that it has all our support for its construction that will benefit both To the aquiline, as to our visitors, as long as it includes elements of vegetation and trees adapted to our climate to give shade and color to the layout, as well as seating areas for rest.
