Ãguilas will become from 16 to 18 June in the gastronomic epicenter of the Region (08/06/2017)

About a dozen exhibitors will meet on June 16, 17 and 18 in Plaza de Abastos to convert it into a premier gastronomic venue.

During three days different gastronomic activities will take place, among them showcooking, talks and presentations that will be complemented with the installation of the street of the tapas in which they will be able to taste product of the local kitchen.

The third edition of the Gatro Mar & Huerta Saborea Águilas Fair, organized by the Association of Hospitality and Tourism of Águilas (Hosteaguilas), with the collaboration of the Town Hall of the town and the Center for Tourism Qualification of the Region of Murcia, presents this year as the main Novelty, according to the mayor of Tourism, Ginés Desiderio Navarro, "the celebration of thematic days that will be on different products of our land, so on Friday 16 will be the turn of the cephalopods, Saturday 17 of the fish of moruna and Sunday 18 Of the Red Shrimp of Eagles ".

As regards the presentations, the president of Hosteaguilas, Vicente Sánchez, was in charge of discovering the name of the different chefs who will be in charge of transmitting their knowledge in the field of gastronomy and among them are Jaime Bernabé, Professor of cocktail of the CCT, who will develop the talk Exhibition and tasting of cocktails.

They will complete the program Francisco Pérez, Chef of the restaurant Casa del Mar;

Eneko, from the restaurant La Cava;

Juan Francisco Paredes, chef of the restaurant Refugio;

Sergio Martínez, finalist in the Contest The Best Croquette of the World 2016 and chef of the restaurant Kaki;

The sommelier Rocío la Fuente and the gastronomic consultant and participant of Top Chef Julio Velandrino.

The fair, which will have a schedule of 12 to 00 hours and will have a large terrace space in the Plaza Juez de Paz José María Guillén, will operate through tickets.

Prices, as last year, will be 2.50 euros for tapas, 1.50 euros for the drink and 4 euros for the cocktail.

Before concluding the presentation, the first mayor of the town, Mari Carmen Moreno, has called on citizens "to enjoy this holiday and our gastronomy, something that we can be very proud of and is also a Real potential for the tourism sector of Águilas. "
