The City Council of Águilas, through the Department of Environment, today celebrated the World Environment Day with a program of activities aimed at all audiences and in which the mayor of the town, Mari Carmen Moreno, participated and The mayor of the area, Isabel María Torrente.
The day has begun at the school Joaquín Tendero with a plantation developed in the courtyard of the center under the title "One class, one tree";
The users of the Women's Center and the association Afemac also wanted to join the commemoration of this day by preparing seed bombs that will soon be launched with the aim of repopulating different points of the locality.
The last activity of the day has taken place in the Urci Occupational Center and has consisted of an open day during which an environmental exhibition has been inaugurated in which visitors have been able to discover the great amount of elements made by the users Of the center (bird feeders and drinkers, nests for swallows, or a large ecological orchard).
