The mayor of Local Development, Ginés Desiderio Navarro, has reported that the unemployment in the locality has registered an annual decrease of 384 people going from 2,757 unemployed in May 2016 to 2,373 the same month of the current year, according to the latest published data By the Employment and Training Service of the Region of Murcia SEF.
The mayor stressed that the data are clear and reflect a downward trend.
Navarro recalled that, although it is true that the councils do not have competencies in job creation, what they can do is work to encourage it and "it is in that line that we are working from this Government Team."
To conclude the councilman, as he has assured on previous occasions, said that "despite these data reflect a notable improvement, from the City Council will continue working on policies that result in improvements for citizens as this is the purpose of this term of people".
