A direct bus service between Ãguilas and Rafael Méndez Hospital begins on Monday. The service had been sued on numerous occasions by the mayor of Aguilas to the General Direction of Roads, body responsible for the authorization of the route (17/03/2017)

The next Monday will start a bus line that will connect the town of Águilas with the hospital Rafael Méndez.

A service announced by the mayor of Aguilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, "was necessary for Aguilas, especially if we take into account the great deficiencies that our municipality has in terms of health."

The line of direct transport to the hospital Rafael Méndez was a service demanded by the first mayor more than a year ago to the General Direction of Roads, body responsible for authorizing this benefit, since many people that daily move from Eagles to the hospital.

"Until now," said the mayor, "all those who traveled by public transport found the end of the journey at the bus station so they were forced to take a second transport to reach the hospital, a job that sometimes Very complicated, especially for the elderly. "

This new route between Aguilas and Hospital Rafael Méndez will be provided by the Lycar company with a departure schedule from the Aguilas station at 9am and back from the Rafael Méndez Hospital at 12.15.

However, said Moreno, "these schedules are provisional and will be adapted by the company providing the service to the demands and needs of users."
