The Tourism Office of Águilas registered an increase in the number of visitors of 26.21% compared to the year 2015, according to the comparative statistics that the mayor of Tourism, Ginés Desiderio Navarro, made public this morning.

Navarro appreciated very positively this information that, assured the councilman, "has also been extrapolated to the visits recorded in the various tourist-cultural enclaves of the locality and whose specific data will be published soon."

Thus, as detailed the mayor, in 2015 the Office of Tourism of Eagles registered, not counting the visits that went to remove the Book of Celebrations, a total of 24,941 visitors, a figure well below the 31,479 recorded in the newly Concluded 2016. An increase to which also has to be added the significant increase in the consultations registered through the tourism website, which is a rising trend in recent times.

As for the visitors received in 2016, 21.71% come from the Region of Murcia;

47.11% correspond to national tourists from outside the Region;

And 30.86% are foreigners.
