Hundreds of aquiline schoolchildren participated yesterday in the traditional Contest of Villancicos organized by the councils of Education and Celebrations of the City of Eagles with the collaboration of the Patronage Musical Aguileño whose Band School, under the baton of the teacher Ginés Ramírez, was the one in charge to open the act With an instrumental repertoire of Christmas music.
After the young musicians of the School Band were the students of the schools Ramón y Cajal, Carlos V, Urci, Virgen de los Dolores, El Rubial, María Immaculada, Las Lomas, Joaquín Tendero and Mediterráneo, the ones who interpreted the carols that took weeks Rehearsing with his teachers.
Before finishing, the mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the mayor of Festejos, Encarnación Navarro, gave the teachers of the participating centers a trophy for their collaboration.
