The Association of Diabetics of Eagles (ADIA), in collaboration with the Department of Health of the City of Eagles, has installed in the Plaza of Spain an information stand on the occasion of the commemoration of World Diabetes Day.
From the same, the volunteers of this association aquiline have realized of free form tests of glucose as well as measurement of the blood pressure to all that have approached.
Since ADIA have also used to inform the importance of developing healthy living habits as a good tool to fight against this disease.
Also, last Saturday was held the traditional Anda Conmigo, a walking tour of the municipality in which about fifty people met, among which was the mayor of Health, Rosalía Casado, along with other members of the corporation Municipal and the president of Adia, Yolanda Gallego.
The goal of this activity, said Gallego, "is to give visibility to diabetes and raise awareness about the importance of physical activity, which together with good nutrition, is essential in the prevention of diabetes."
The walk ended with a release of paper lanterns and with the lighting of the Pava de la Balsa, emblem of this locality, in blue.
