The City of Aguilas has launched from last Wednesday, December 23, 2020 and until next Friday, January 8, 2021 a new resource to support working families who have minors in their care.

It is a project that emanates from a subsidy from the Ministry of Health, Consumption and Social Welfare in order to guarantee the basic right to food, leisure and culture of minors during school holidays and conciliation n of family and work life.

In this way, and after a prior registration period, 42 minors from the municipality of Aguilas have been able to access this Christmas School, which provides support to working families during the school holidays typical of these dates.

This school is held from Monday to Friday (except holidays: December 25, January 1 and 6) on the non-school days of the school vacation period.

The project includes the care of boys and girls from 0 to 12 years of age.

On the one hand, in the stage prior to early childhood education, that is, from 0 to 3 years old, families can choose any of the nurseries or toy libraries in the municipality where they can leave the children on time from 09:00 to 19:00 hours, maximum.

In the case of infants and toddlers, it is held at the Ram ny Cajal school facilities from 10:00 to 14:30, where they can carry out recreational and leisure activities, with the service of dining room included.

From the Council of Social Policy and Health of the City of Aguilas they state that this type of activities are necessary and represent an essential resource to facilitate the conciliation of working families, who in many occasions do not have the help necessary to care for minors during holiday periods, which are usually greater than those of the parents.

Likewise, they indicate that it is an initiative that is free for applicant families, as it is subsidized by public funds and they allege that the City Council will carry it out again for the Easter holidays.
