The PP of Águilas highlights the role of women in the International Day of Rural Women and asks the mayor to comply with the municipal agreements on the group "that have been in a drawer for 4 years" (15/10/2020)

The president of the Popular Party of Águilas, Eva Reverte, has valued the role of women in the enrichment of the natural environment and its environment, coinciding with the commemoration of the International Day of Rural Women, which was born in 2008 with the purpose of make visible the contributions and recognize the rights of rural women. In turn, the spokeswoman has asked the mayor of Águilas to comply "once and for all" with the municipal agreements on the group that "have been in a drawer for 4 years." Reverte recalled that "the plenary session of the Águilas City Council unanimously approved in 2016 a motion presented by the Popular Party to commemorate October 15 as International Day of Rural Women", but "since 2016 nothing has been done", has underlined the ´popular´, to which he added that "in the motion it was requested that a specific plan be drawn up within the Municipal Equality Plan, referring to rural women, with the aim of correcting inequalities in this sector and seek resources for reconciling work and family life ". In this context, the president of the local PP has wondered "what does the Moreno government do with the motions that are approved in the plenary sessions?", Since "it is useless to approve a motion unanimously and not carry it out in four years.

" Reverte hopes that these agreements will be fulfilled "as soon as possible" and applauds the birth of the Association of Rural Families and Women of Aguilas, which he has publicly congratulated and to which he reaches out to promote projects that benefit the group. In addition, the ´popular´ has made reference to the ´Regional strategic plan for equal opportunities between men and women´ that the Regional Government is developing, which has as objectives "the participation and visibility of women, the reduction of the gender gap.
