In order to prevent and prosecute the sale of illicit products, specifically counterfeits or imitations of recognized brands, specialists from the Fiscal Service of the Civil Guard have developed in recent days a comprehensive device for the inspection of shops in the Guadalentín Valley region.

More than half a thousand counterfeit products seized The inspection carried out at the Águilas Plaza Shopping Center, in the municipality of Aguileño, resulted in the discovery of nearly 500 counterfeit products of prestigious brands ready for sale in one of the establishments. These are various items such as bags, wallets, scarves, caps and belts, among others, that imitate products of prestigious brands with a high demand in the market. The civil guards have been able to verify how most of these effects lack original labeling and packaging. The seized products are valued at around 8,000 euros. La Benemérita has investigated a person, responsible for the trade where supposedly counterfeit products were offered, who have been prosecuted as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against industrial property. The person investigated, the effects seized and the proceedings instructed have been made available to the Investigating Court number 4 of Lorca.
