The mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the president of the Association of Housewives, Consumers and Users Virgen de los Dolores, Cati García, together with the mayor of Equality and Consumption, Elena Casado and Encarna Navarro, have presented the events that the aguileña association has programmed to commemorate both Women's Day and Consumer Day.
The first of the activities will take place next Saturday, the date on which the "March 8 Awards" Gala will be held, an acknowledgment that in this edition has been given to the businesswoman Beatriz García, the concert artist Laura Rodríguez and the NGO Cáritas Parroquial de Saint Joseph.
On the occasion of Consumer Day a program of activities has also been developed that will begin on March 17 with a guided tour of the local fish market and will continue on the 23rd of the same month with the already traditional contest of cold starters and cakes and the talk "Marine litter, an ecological and sustainable alternative" by Silvia Moraga.
