It has all]

The mayor of Igualdad, Elena Casado, along with the psychologist, social worker and legal adviser of the CAVI, Rosalía Gómez, Inma Simó and María José Casado, respectively, has presented the events scheduled for the celebration, on November 25 , of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women;

"Some acts that - assured the mayor - will continue throughout the month under the motto Do you need help? Count on all."

During the press conference, Casado referred to the alarming data collected that indicate that from March to October there have been a total of 173 women users who have attended the Center for Specialized Assistance to Victims of Gender Violence, which is why they are fundamental all these actions.

Thus, among the most symbolic actions, the installation of three traffic signs with a broken heart shape and the slogan "Nonviolent violence" stands out.

The objective is to sensitize the population and raise public awareness about the need to eradicate gender violence.

It is for this reason that an element such as a traffic signal has been chosen, which makes it easier to launch the message in a visual way.

In addition, when placed in public places they become very suitable elements to manifest an active position against gender violence.

The action will be completed with the installation of some plates with this same legend in the different municipal buildings and with the distribution of stickers so that they can be placed in the establishments that want it.

As for the program of events, this will start next Thursday with the Good Practices in Law Day: legal assistance to the victim of gender violence that will take place, in collaboration with the Association of Young Lawyers of Lorca, at 4.30 pm in the Cajamurcia Culture Classroom.

On Friday 8, at 7 pm at the door of the City Hall, the exhibition "Equals in rights" of the General Council of Spanish Law will be opened.

The exhibition, which can be visited until November 21, has been organized by the Bar Association of Lorca in collaboration with the City of Águilas.

On Tuesday 26 at 8 pm at the Francisco Rabal House of Culture, the Association of Housewives, Consumers and Users Virgen de los Dolores will be in charge of bringing to the tables the "Sketch against gender violence" function.

The theatrical performances will continue on Wednesday 27, at the same time, with the staging of "Life in a tissue" of the Phoenix Society workshop, under the direction of Adela Mendiola.

On the 21st, 22nd and 25th the Pepín theater workshop for 6th grade students will be launched, while the 26th, 27th and 28th will be the 4th grade students to whom the performance "The colors" is directed by Imagine Shows.

For the students of Secondary School, the IX Short contest with Violence will be held, whose winning piece will be screened on Thursday 28 at 6 pm at the Francisco Rabal Culture House, coinciding with the presentation of the winning work of the II Contest of Illustrations for the Poster announcing the Short Competition with Violence 2020.

On Saturday 30 will be the Women's Group of the Evangelical Baptist Church of Águilas which joins the events scheduled with the talk on gender violence by Margarita Llabrés, master in gender violence, theologian and missionary.

It should be noted that on the 25th, coinciding with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, an information table will be installed at 10:30 a.m., after it, at 12 noon, the institutional manifesto will be read and 16 hours will take place the bus departure, prior registration in the CAVI, to the Regional Manifestation Against Gender Violence in Murcia.
