In the afternoon of yesterday, the I Casino de Águilas Chess Tournament was taking place near the Aguilas Casino, in the Paseo de Isaac Peral Street.
It had a large participation of players from different parts of Murcia and the peninsula, to complete a total of sixty couples, mostly youth, thus confirming that the love for chess has great acceptance among the youngest.
There is no doubt that this first tournament will continue to reap success in the future.
The trophy delivery was given by the mayor of the City of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, who had for the chess players from other locations, as well as for the Casino de Águilas Chess Club, a few words of thanks for the efficient organization of the event and the good sports environment.
