XXVI Pescathón "Playas de Ãguilas" (19/08/2019)

During the 10 hours of Pescathón, they captured 167 pieces that weighed almost 13 kilos, also winning the "Highest Number of Pieces" award.

The prize for the "Major Piece" traveled to the City of the Sun, thanks to the gilding of more than half a kilogram obtained by Antonio Mellinas and Andrei Aron, from the "City of Lorca".

The runner-up went to the hands of the couple made up of Carmelo Sánchez and José Miguel Oltra, from the Alicante "Tecnopesca" association of Redován.

Third place went to the Aguileña couple formed by Juan Bta.

Buendía and Alfonso Piñero, from the "Villa de Águilas" association.

This traditional sport fishing event, organized every August by the "City of Urci" and chaired by Cristóbal López, was attended by 36 couples in 9 associations: "Ciudad de Lorca", "Club Náutico Santa Lucía, de Cartagena, "Tecnopesca Redovan", from Alicante, the aquiline "Villa de Águilas", APD "El Barbo", from El Puntal, "Andaráx", from Almeria, "Albacora", from Cartagena, ADC "Surfcasting, from Murcia and the host association.

The mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, the Deputy Mayor, Tomás Consentino and the Lieutenant of the Civil Guard in Águilas, Joaquín Guillamón, together with the president and members of the board of directors of the "City of Urci", were in charge of the delivery of the different trophies to the winners.

The "Pescathon", has as its setting the virgin coves that go from the Cope Tower aquiline to Siscal's Cala Lorca.
