Vicente Javier López, from El Tangay;

Encarni Ávila, of Matalentisco Boys;

Mawy Simó, from El Tangay;

and Marina Sánchez, from World Fantasy, last night became the characters of the 2020 Carnival during the Gala of choice held in the Plaza de Antonio Cortijos.

The event brought together more than 1,200 attendees who witnessed a magnificent show conducted by Pedro Campos and Noelia Ruano and which featured performances by the Official Ballet of the Peñas Federation.

One of the highlights of the night came with the presentation of children's characters.

Alejandra Agulló, from the Terpsícore club, will be responsible for bringing the Mussona to life;

the battle between Don Carnal and Doña Cuaresma this year will be deputy Francisco Barriga, of Peña Serpentina and Paula Bernet, of Diversity Dance.

Finally, the role of Musa, the inspiration of all carnivals, will be represented by Nerea Contreras, from the Diversity Dance club.

Already, with the emotion to the surface they made their appearance the candidates to give life to the adult characters of the Carnival 2020 that after their performances gave way to the voting that concluded with Vicente Javier López as Don Carnal;

Encarni Ávila as Doña Cuaresma;

Mawy Simó as Mussona;

and Marina Sánchez as Musa.
