The PSOE increases a liberated councilor becoming the government team with more councilors for salary in the history of the City of Ãguilas (16/07/2019)

The new structure of the socialist government will cost the aquiline almost 2 million euros a year

Not a month has passed when the current government team, led by the socialist mayor, Mari Carmen Moreno, has increased the salaried personnel that make up its structure for the coming years.

Thus, as approved yesterday in an extraordinary plenary session, the new government team will be composed of the mayor and six councilors and half released plus four contracts of trusted staff and cost the municipal coffers almost two million euros.

The popular councilor, Francisco Navarro, said that "with this new release, the team of Moreno becomes the structure with more volume of personnel and more expensive in the history of the City of Águilas" to which he added that "during the plenary session and we were once again anticipated, again, the forecast that the number of councilors released shortly will be increased, something that we understand as a lack of responsibility and coherence on the part of the socialist group. "

In this way, as Navarro recalled, the socialist government team will cost the neighbors of Águilas almost two million euros a year, "we believe that people who work should receive a salary, but from this time the political profile is still more commercialized. , even though the vocation of public service should prevail over other interests ".

Also, the mayor criticized the lack of equity with the other opposition groups by the socialist government, not establishing proportional representation with respect to workers who serve as trusted staff of political groups.

Copla Plan Agreement

During the plenary session, the approval of the agreement by which the Red Cross provides surveillance and rescue services on the beaches of Águilas was also discussed.

Navarro said that "it is not a receipt that, knowing, since May of last year, how this service had to be managed, the Government team has given rise to Red Cross troops being carried out their work since July 1 without that legal protection so necessary. "

In this sense, the popular mayor calls "an irresponsible management for the lack of foresight and planning before such an important service for the municipality like this one, in which Red Cross volunteers do a commendable job".

Lack of transparency

In addition, during the plenary session, the proposal was also raised so that certain powers currently held by the Plenary will be taken over by the Mayor's Office "something to which the Popular Municipal Group has opposed because it is understood that in this way the work that we have the opposition groups and, at the same time, the degree of transparency of the public institution is noticeably diminished ".
