The nucleus of the Communist Party of Spain (PCE) in Águilas has denounced the state in which some streets of the district of Calabardina are located.
"It is incredible that, in the middle of July, where there is a greater influx of holidaymakers, we find streets with rubbish, rubble and even mattresses thrown away."
According to aquiline communists, "we are witnessing the ineffectiveness of local government in terms of cleanliness."
Something that they consider "especially serious", because they remember that "in the last legislature it was decided to leave this service in the hands of a private company, instead of studying its municipalization with the argument that it would be more effective".
From the PCE in Águilas they demand the local executive of Mari Carmen Moreno to attend to the claims of the Calabardina neighborhood and increase, if necessary, the cleaning service in the area.
"It is a matter of health and a basic requirement if we want to take care of the image of Águilas as a tourist destination".
