The mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the mayor of Deportes, Cristóbal Casado, have received the members of the Águilas Karate Club who have recently participated in the Regional Junior and Senior Championships.
The athletes, who visited the City Hall accompanied by the coach, Juan Carlos Navarro, highlighted in their meeting with the mayor the excellent results achieved, with a total of seven golds, five silvers and eleven bronzes.

Kumite Infantil Masculino: José Contreras (champion), Cristóbal Díaz (third), Pablo Atienza (fourth), Anass (fourth) and Antonio Pérez (fifth).
Children's Katas Male: Leon Mamonko (champion), Pablo Atienza (runner-up).

Male Youth Katas: Alejandro Franco (champion).
Men's Youth Kumite: Alejandro Franco (third).
Female Youth Katas: Laura Piñero (third) and Lucía García (third).
Women's Youth Kumite: Laura Piñero (champion), Lucía García (runner-up) and Heike Martínez (third).
Senior Men's Kumite: Jalal (champion), Acharf (runner-up), José Manuel Díaz (fourth), Gonzalo Barrios (he finally could not participate due to an injury at the last minute).
